Job Description

Team Summary

The Data Solutions team is responsible for leading the strategy, prioritisation, development and delivery of Visa’s product roadmap for all data and risk solutions in the Asia Pacific markets. The team collaborates with local and global stakeholders to develop the go-to-market for Visa’s open data capabilities, scale Visa’s risk and authentication solutions, as well as deliver Visa’s data solutions roadmap. Our aim is to enable Visa clients and partners to drive better customer engagement and outcomes to grow their business. The team is at the vanguard of transforming Visa’s business model to capture new payment flows and increase value-added services revenue.

What a Program Manager: Authentication Products does at Visa:

This role will have responsibility for the management of authentication-related programs in Asia Pacific, focusing on Visa Secure and supporting the program delivery of the Visa Consumer Authentication Solution (VCAS).  The Program Manager will lead project planning activities relating to these solutions and ensure the project team delivers against its commitments with the highest quality deliverables in a timely fashion.

Visa Secure is Visa’s program that governs Visa transactions using the 3-D Secure (3DS) standard and provides an additional layer of security helps prevent unauthorized use of cards and protects e-commerce merchants and issuers from exposure to fraud.   VCAS helps issuers deliver protection against ecommerce fraud through robust risk-based authentication and real-time, predictive risk analysis.  Combined, both solutions help drive greater protection and secured online shopping for consumers. 

Your strong program management experience will ensure the collaboration with global and regional stakeholders across multiple Visa functions and geographies to drive the adoption of the Visa Secure protocol and associated network programs in Asia Pacific. Program execution is supported through the delivery of actionable business insights and the creation of customer-oriented collateral and case studies that ensure optimal program performance.

A strong commercial acumen and analytical skills will be useful to identify areas of untapped revenue opportunity, working with stakeholders to capitalise on these including the development and execution of region-specific pricing strategies and the ownership of billing activities. 

This individual must be able to independently manage working-level relationships whilst being comfortable to present to executives, both for internal stakeholders and external clients.  This role is the primary point of contact for ACS vendors in the region and will ensure that key Visa Secure updates are communicated regularly to these important partners.

The Program Manager: Visa Secure will report to the AP Head of Security & Authentication Solutions.

As the Program Manager Visa Secure, you will play a critical role in delivering against this priority by leading the strategy, prioritisation and development of Visa’s product roadmap for all data solutions in the market.  You will collaborate with key global and regional stakeholders to deliver against program performance goals to ensure the successful adoption of the EMV 3DS protocol within the AP region. 

Projects you will be a part of

  • You will be responsible for leading change, working with a range of global and regional partners to ensure the successful completion of the migration from 3DS 1.0 to EMV 3DS

  • You will partner with the regional and global product teams to support the delivery of VCAS in the region

  • You will use your relationships to understand key successes and their drivers and find ways to bring these learnings to market partners


What you will need:
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality
• 6-8 years of experience in program management and project delivery
• Proven track record of high performance and recognised as a subject matter expert in business areas or products
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action
• High energy, motivated team player, able to effectively drive projects and key initiatives to completion.
• High level of personal initiative, creativity and self-motivation
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to utilize systems to extract, capture and interpret data

What will also help:
• Knowledge of Visa Security and Authentication Products preferred (including Visa Secure, Visa Consumer Authentication Service, Tokenisation and others).
• In-market experience and/or knowledge of local language and culture as well as regulation and industry trends preferred
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
