What’s it all about?

The Senior Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the management, tracking and evolvement of the sales pipeline and performance in the country. This individual is expected to project manage cross-functional initiatives and oversee the implementation of sales, execution and market development opportunities, along with the planning, reporting and process management cycles, required to enable the smooth functioning and growth of the Visa organization in the country.

The position’s primary designation is Greece and for an interim period it will service Bulgaria and Cyprus as well.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Manage the evolution of the sales pipeline, including regular and ad-hoc reviews and forecasts against the annual and multi-year plans of the country
  • Provide reports, data insight and direction that drive sales performance
  • Drive deal management data quality and efficiencies to increase sales velocity
  • Support the implementation of the market business plan, including sales-focused and cross-functional programs and initiatives, that drive the overall business development and sales results
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the sales management and reporting systems in place, and drive the adoption of new tools to improve the quality and speed of the sales process and performance
  • Track and consolidate data on business and performance KPIs (Scorecard, objectives, market business plan), analyse deviations and propose solutions for improvement. Prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Participate and support the client engagement and cross-functional Visa team in the market development activities and initiatives to further Visa’s objectives and targets in the market, including supporting the local multi-member Client forum operations (i.e. Client Council, Working Groups)
  • Work along with the account executives to streamline interaction and provide timely response, guidance and support to both Visa clients and internal stakeholders on product information, procedures, rules and others
  • Apply the Visa Leadership Principles in your daily work

Qualifications

 

  • Considerable experience in sales and/or project management role
  • Experience within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
  • Knowledge and experience of the payments business and/or experience in the financial services will be considered an advantage
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Comprehensive data and business analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage and gain commitment from peers and extended stakeholder community, in a solution-driven manner
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Able to set priorities, manage expectations, work both as part of a team and independently
  • Effective time management, organization, and planning skills
  • A good understanding of and/or used CRM platforms
  • Fluency in English
  • Flexibility to travel
