As Senior Director of Visa Crypto Solutions for Asia Pacific, you will be part of a global team responsible for creating and growing new revenue streams for Visa through emerging crypto products, innovative partnerships, and tailored programs. You will work with the AP Digital Solutions team and other AP stakeholders including Digital Partnerships, Innovation, Design and Architecture, and our client account teams to deliver insight, guidance, solutions, and commercial outcomes which further client value and our leadership in the crypto space in AP.

What a Senior Director, Crypto Solutions – Asia Pacific (AP) does at Visa:

The Senior Director Crypto Solutions will drive crypto business development activities and infrastructure partnerships in the AP region, with the goal of continuing to grow our leadership position in the markets we serve. Your responsibilities will include:

• Generating new revenue streams while delivering tailored crypto solutions for a wide variety of Visa’s partners including banks, fintechs, merchants, crypto wallets/exchanges, and infrastructure providers
• Negotiating and executing comprehensive agreements with crypto companies and infrastructure partners
• Serving as a subject matter expert internally and externally, leading training for internal teams, and articulating Visa’s position on crypto to our clients and partners
• Translating emerging trends in crypto into opportunities for Visa and our clients
• Influencing and providing market feedback and knowledge sharing to cross-functional teams and executive leadership
• Scale emerging crypto product lines from initial proof of concept through go-to-market execution that spans pricing, strategy, deal structuring, and client support
• Identifying new crypto infrastructure partnerships, and investment or acquisition opportunities

Crypto Solutions is responsible for driving the evolution of the payments ecosystem to include digital currencies as an emerging payment solution. Those digital currencies will include crypto-currency, stable coins, and central bank digital currencies. As we incubate and drive this development, solutions need to be simple, secure, convenient, and reliable for consumers, business, and government. They will represent an innovative, cost effective, and timely path to achieving reach, scale, and extensibility for our clients. Your role will ensure that Visa is leading this change, and our clients in the AP region are prepared to execute on digital currency opportunities as the payments ecosystem evolves.

What you will need:

• 12 years of experience in operating and business development roles across companies in fintech, payments, and financial services
• Demonstrated track record of building and managing businesses including expertise in setting go-to-market strategies and execution, pricing, managing budgets, generating and scaling revenue, and supporting clients
• Track record and expertise in structuring complex partnerships and legal agreements
• Ability to successfully build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
• Possess significant functional knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and players involved, including in-depth knowledge around permissionless blockchain technology as well as a deep understanding of existing retail payment solutions
• Experience working with Fintechs and crypto wallets and exchanges, including specific experience partnering with crypto infrastructure providers
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity to identify new opportunities/anticipate how crypto can impact payments ecosystem
• Expertise in explaining complex concepts and technologies to a broad audience of external and internal partners
• Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
• Previous experience in an operating role at a startup or high growth company
• MBA or advanced degree relevant to digital currency such as economics, computer science.

What will also help:

• An understanding of how payment networks operate across authentication, security, authorisation, clearing and settlement would be advantageous.

Projects you will be a part of:

• Visa is currently working with many Issuers, Wallets / Exchanges, regulators and other stakeholders, including in the AP region. You will own product and business development for these initiatives and guide relationships teams and other internal stakeholders in their engagements.
