Job Description

Team Summary

Thailand Marketing Manager will lead brand activation and relationship across Visa’s Banks, Fintechs, Merchants and Government clients and create value for Visa and Visa’s clients through co-marketing initiatives, delivering innovative solutions through Visa’s marketing advisory services, and supporting team on marketing operations.  

You will report to the Head of Marketing, Thailand and will be part of the Thailand Country Team as well as part of the SMT (Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand) cluster.

What a Marketing Manager does at Visa:

The Country Marketing Manager will bring in marketing experiences to activate and strengthen Visa Brand not only with consumers but also Visa’s clients (Banks, Merchants, Fintechs, and Government) through marketing initiatives and delivering innovative solutions through Visa’s marketing advisory services. You will work with the Thailand marketing team and country cross functional team to strategise and propose impactful and relevant marketing programs to drive business revenue for our clients. Given our clients’ varied needs, these programs would span across both B2B and B2C.

Key Responsibilities include:

1.     Brand, Solutions & Campaign Management

  • Plan and implement Marketing strategies for Thailand market to achieve key business metrics based on country priorities, interfacing with internal stakeholders (functions, Business Development Team, Country Manager) while collaborating across Hub and Singapore Malaysia Thailand (briefly refer as SMT) country marketing teams.
  • Lead briefing of new content creation to support Visa-led and Client-led activities, either through development of new content or adaptation of existing Global / AP content. Consult and liaise with clients on integrating client requirements into creative development and execution.
  • Partner with media agency partners to identify, assess and structure creative media / events strategy & platform that help build brand visibility, brand strength, as well as creates value added service opportunities for clients and partners
  • Grow overall brand health, drive effective share of voice in the market

2.     Client Marketing

  • Prospecting – analysing client needs, ideating, and developing subsequent plans of activity to meet the client’s needs
  • Scoping – agree pricing and scope with client, contracting and documentation
  • Implementation – work with internal teams, creative & media agencies to implement solutions with clients
  • Reporting – delivery against objectives – customer satisfaction and retention
  • Drive marketing engagements for key clients and partners including developing client marketing strategy, planning, and execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Communicate annual / quarterly marketing plans to clients with regular updates at formal meetings 
  • Implement and embed Visa’s Marketing Capabilities and Value-Added Services for client marketing solutions
  • Work extensively with local country cross-functional teams (i.e., Client Relationship, Merchant Sales and Acquiring, Product, Visa Consulting and Analytics), as well as AP client marketing team, to support client marketing planning development and execution
  • Establish strong relationship with Visa business partners (Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ratchaprasong Group, etc.) and key merchants to ensure a great business support for the launch of Visa marketing campaigns as well as explore new business partnership that will enable Visa to promote its brand and offer more privileges to cardholders.

3.     Processes and Financial

  • Work closely with Thailand Marketing team to manage country’s marketing budget and ensure that all activities adhere to Visa’s financial forecasting, reporting, sourcing, legal and compliance policies

Qualifications

  • Excellent performance and strategic marketing experience in Marketing management (Minimum 8 years of experience), preferred in finance/payment industry, FMCG, Telecommunications, digital agency or applicable industry
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in B2B2C Marketing (agency or client), with proven record of driving business impact through client/partner marketing
  • Bachelors’ or business/marketing or related field with marketing foundation
  • Proven track record of creating happy customers. Own overall client satisfaction and the continuing growth and evolution of the clients.
  • Client servicing, sales experience/expertise and confidence in communicating/presenting/advising clients
  • Passionate and willing to immerse into the diverse business goals of Visa’s clients including traditional issuers, new fintech players as well as large merchants including ecommerce players
  • Experienced in client and partner communications through a variety of content and channels (e.g. EDMs, social media, multi-media etc.)
  • Understand marketing services and how they can help advance Visa’s client business objectives
  • Assist in managing all commercial aspects of the client relationship including contracts, pricing, profitability, internal revenue, and profit forecasting.
  • Assist in accurately planning and forecasting revenue growth to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Be the knowledge champion for end-to-end processes on all client and partner projects
  • You must be meticulous and have an eye for detail, lead documentation and contracting tasks
  • Liaison with various stakeholders including finance, BPOs and other functions as required to facilitate documentation and contracting
  • Propose and implement process improvement activities
