Team Summary

It all starts with a simple question: how can we make very consumers journey faster and easier?

In an era where time is the new currency for consumers - getting around is not just a matter of how, but how quickly and how easily. Our team sees a future in which payment credentials can do more than just pay: it could be a digital key, ticket, fare, or boarding pass. We work with city planners, regulators, urban mobility operators and solution providers to make this vision a reality.

Our team have a suite of framework and services including Visa Mass Transit Transaction framework, Visa Ready for Transit, Visa Developer Platform, Visa Offers Program and Visa Token Service to draw from to help companies customize a solution that fits their unique customer offering. For instance, the APIs available through the Visa Developer Platform could be used with a rewards program to provide eligibility access rights to exclusive offers and benefits or provide predictions for customer wait times at merchant location based on Visa’s transaction intelligence.

And contactless EMV remains the foundation of everything we do.

What a Senior Manager, Contactless and Urban Mobility Programs does at Visa:

  • Chip and Contactless Product Technology Development and Support
    • Maintain a roadmap on the evolution of Visa’s chip/ contactless specifications and mandates
    • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to meet the roadmap milestones
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring that the readiness of the chip ecosystem to support any Visa chip-related initiatives
    • Ensure that our clients are compliant with Visa’s business rule and technology mandates
    • Introduce and educate internal stakeholders and clients in understanding current and new chip and contactless technologies
    • Introduction of Pay in Advance products
  • Manage the Asia Pacific Urban Mobility Program Office
    • Collaborate and coordinate with the Global Urban Mobility team in ensuring that the program and project artefacts are up to date, and ensuring that the regional stakeholders have the resources to support enterprise-wide Urban Mobility initiatives
    • Track the progress of Urban Mobility programs in each respective market, updating the appropriate regional and global dashboards.
    • Work with the regional and country Urban Mobility teams in developing the team’s performance and growth metrics, identify insights and recommendations and updating dashboards at regular frequencies
  • Urban Mobility Implementation Support
    • Maintain a dashboard of issues arising from project implementations and ensuring that they are worked on and escalated as required until they are resolved.
    • Analyze problem trends and work with local and global SME in devising long term solutions.
  • Market and Partner Analysis and Communication
    • Research industry trends and emerging themes in transit payments technology in conjunction with Visa’s transit innovation, that will shape the future of Urban Mobility and support the development of Visa’s ‘point-of-view’
    • Extract actionable business insights from internal and external data sources and build deliverables that clearly communicate the findings and recommendations

Projects you will be a part of:

In this role, you will oversee the regional Urban Mobility Office and will be working with internal and external stakeholders. From providing program management and high-quality implementation support, you will cover a range of existing and new product functions and support the rollout of some of the large-scale contactless and Urban Mobility Programs in the region including key markets like Japan, Korea, and India. You will also work with the vendor partners to ensure that the overall industry is ready to deliver solutions required by our clients and Urban Mobility Operators.

You, in your role, will be a key contributor to take this vision forward.

Qualifications

What you will need
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in payments or related industry
• 3-years of in-depth experience working with EMV Chip technology
• Good understanding of payment networks or payment processing systems
• Be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure all participants and stakeholders deliver as planned
• Experience in delivering quality product integrations within scope and on time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
