Team Summary

Regulations and fast changing market dynamics are setting up payments and money movement to be a dynamic and exciting opportunity.  Our aim is to enable Visa clients and partners to leverage data and open platforms to drive better customer engagement and business growth.

The team is responsible for leading the strategy, prioritization, development and delivery of Visa’s product roadmap for all solutions in the Philippines and Guam. The team collaborates with local and global stakeholders to develop the go-to-market strategy for Visa’s capabilities, scale Visa’s value-added services, as well as deliver on Visa’s product and solutions roadmap.

The team is at the vanguard of evolving Visa’s business model to be in the middle of money movement for everyone, everywhere through our core capabilities and services.

What a Senior Solutions Manager does at Visa:

As the Senior Manager driving solutions deployment, you will contribute to the strategy, prioritization and deployment of new money movement solutions in the Philippines that respond to evolving consumer and business demands.  You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including partners and clients in the development of solutions within Visa or through partners specializing in payment initiation and new money movement in Open Banking regimes. Contributing to solution design, identifying partnerships, scoping the build of products and services while working with global leaders, technology partners and in-market teams will bring this vision to life.

Important to the role is a client-oriented mindset when developing solutions while having a strong commercial understanding of a network business. Your passion for developing new payment experiences and a market focused approach will enable you to succeed in this role. Specific work areas will include:

  • Driving joint solution development efforts in the area of money movement/transfers/remittance  
  • Working with partners and clients, while collaborating with various internal stakeholders to grasp functional and technical aspects of different solutions and combine them with partners’ solutions and capabilities to create market-first offerings.
  • Develop local business requirements and drive implementation through regional and global teams in close collaboration with other key functional areas including risk, strategy and government relations.
  • Evaluate local partnerships across multiple segments which can assist in the development of strategic recommendations and business cases for possible local partnerships to assist achieving Visa’s strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance and expertise for product and client facing teams and lead discussions with prospective clients.
  • Provide input and leadership to regulatory and industry developments (e.g., Open Banking regulations, data protection, data privacy and localization requirements).
  • Close monitoring of market trends, emerging technologies and prospective partners in the general Payments/Remittance space.
  • Own and drive implementation milestones during a Proof Of Concept or Minimum Viable Product stages and revenue targets through initial commercialization phase.

Qualifications

What you will need:

To be successful in this role you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and critical thinking.
• Natural curiosity to learn about new products and systems and ability to quickly grasp new concepts and be able to explain the key benefits to clients and internal stakeholders.
• High energy, motivated team player, able to effectively work across functions and teams to drive projects and key initiatives to completion.
• Strong collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible working style, and able to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
• Effectively operate across all levels of the organization, including with senior executives.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills with proven abilities in negotiating, influencing and effectively communicating concepts to customers and colleagues at all levels.
• 10+ years of commercial experience in a related field (banking, payments, fintechs or remittance).

• Demonstrated working experience in product project management and/or product management.
