Job Description

As an Associate Business Analyst center in Visa’s third party technology management, you will manage a variety of functions including partnering with senior members of the team in providing support for asset management activities. This will include establishing a pipeline of upcoming techn ology purchases, tracking estimated shipments from vendors and maintaining reports and dashboards. In addition, this individual will also get exposure to how technology strategy and purchase decisions are made and the role will be expected to eventually perform business case analysis and business justification for technology purchases.

This position will gain an in-depth understanding of the business, strategic direction, organizational structure, and key vendor partnerships. You will help define success for IT financial efficiency and cost clarity programs by creating and tracking key metrics and developing consumption optimization programs.

Essential Functions

  • Work with PMO and technology stakeholders to establish a pipeline and track status of purchases through the lifecycle
  • Work with Hardware and Software asset management teams to track maintenance end dates, last day of support and other metadata for Visa assets.
  • Assist product owners with execution of technology strategy, keeping a view of the operating expense impact of key decisions
  • Identify expense reduction opportunities with product owners and create plans and tracking to ensure execution of cost reduction strategies.
  • Review demand for new purchases with product owners, validate that the demand aligns with technology strategy and present analytics to compare Visa’s usage of similar products within the category
  • Work closely with Technology partners to understand the technical details
    for IT purchases and create business justification for purchases

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business or related field
• Mid-Level to Advanced Excel skills
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication and being able to understand technical IT terminology.

Preferred Qualifications
• 2 Years of work experience.
• Experience in working with third party vendors
• Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Organizational agility
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily; and have demonstrated ability to build a high performance and collaborative work environment in highly matrixed organization
