Team Summary

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, sellers and Fintechs) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, digital strategy, payments, data analytics, marketing, operations and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results. In Asia Pacific (AP), VCA has geographically focused teams and the Center of Excellence (COE) team which provides expertise in specific industry or functional verticals (Issuer portfolio optimization, Digital, Risk, Business Solutions and Acquiring).

We are scaling our Risk Advisory Practice for India and South Asia and the incumbent will be part of VCA team, responsible for ideating, delivering and scaling Risk advisory solutions for the market and consulting Visa's clients in the areas of digital and go to market strategy, working closely with the multiple Visa teams in India and Risk Advisory teams across geographies.

What will be your goals?

  • Manage 2-3 medium and 1-2 large size projects in a year
  • Deliver consulting projects as well as analytics projects across Traditional and Non-Traditional client groups
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of Visa’s Risk Products and Capabilities
  • Be coachable and aspire to lead projects as engagement lead
  • Support Senior Managers/Directors in business development
  • Strives to achieve excellent client Net promotor score.

What will you do?

Project Delivery

  • Delivers at least 1 project at a time (usually 2-4 months in duration)
  • Manages allocated project deliverables within quality standards and budget.
  • Structures documents and project deliverables, leveraging insights from data and client inputs

Project Leadership

  • Leads at least 1 project at a time and leads client discussions for medium projects
  • Routinely identifies new trends and conducts research to develop in depth comprehension of a particular topic / emerging trends
  • Manages cross-functional project teams with/without Senior Manager’s/Director’s day-to-day oversight and can harness Subject Matter expertise across Visa’s Global teams to excellently deliver on client projects

Functions Growth

  • Strengthens functional expertise in Risk service line – strong interface with industry reports, thought leadership and trends
  • Ideates and develops new go to market Risk solutions, leaning on client requirements as well as localizing Global risk solutions
  • Supports white papers and IP development
  • Contributes to VCA intellectual property (e.g. case studies) that can be captured and uploaded to VCA knowledge management platform(s), external facing industry sites

Client Management

  • Manages client projects owning all client deliverables
  • Support Senior Managers/Directors in business development by creating strong proposals and pitch documents, present during client meetings
  • Be an evangelist for Visa’s Advisory, Products and Solutions by effectively mapping them to applicable client needs, priorities and pain points

As the consulting arm of Visa, VCA wants to build a team of highly specialized experts that can provide best in class payment expertise to the client. In this role, you will be a critical part of Visa’s digital strategy to serve its clients - driving client’s payments roadmap and digital strategies, enabling growth of digital payments and experiences, using the power of Visa data and analytics to solve clients pain points and solve business issues for our clients including advising on growth partnership, product strategies, banking experience. In the role, you will at the forefront of providing consulting advice, drive growth in payments through digitization, and will have ownership of key metrics directly contributing to Visa’s goal.

Projects you will be a part of

As part of the team, you will get opportunity to work on strategically important projects for clients. The nature of projects this role would require you to play a key role in, are varied. To list a few, this would include Assessing and Recommending best-in-class solutions along with examples that lead to inspiration in following practice areas :

  • Credit Limit Management, including Initial Limit Assessment and Lifecycle Limit Management strategies
  • Generating Revolving Balances, including Balance Transfers and Instalments at Acquisition & during lifecycle
  • Underwriting strategy for Credit Cards as well as BNPL using Alternate Data, including proprietary Visa models, prevalent bureau and synthetic scores
  • Acquisition, Behavior & Collection (A/B/C) Models & Scores review
  • Evaluation of Authorization / Transaction Fraud Management Policy and Rules
  • Evaluation of Collections Framework, including pre-delinquent strategy, collection product design, collector analytics
  • Credit Policy Review & Refresh
  • Partnering with Visa Data science team to brainstorm and build high impact scalable client solutions leveraging the power of Visa data to solve for key Client business issues

Educational and Experience Related Expectations
• Graduate Degree in Any Discipline + 5 years OR Postgraduate in Management/Science + 3 years
• Experience in payments/consumer banking/credit cards/Credit Risk/ Collections/ Authorization & Fraud Management/Campaign Management with leading Banks (or demonstrate deep skills gained within a top-tier Consulting firm)
• Exposure to Data Analysis and Inferential thinking
• Exposure to Predictive / Propensity Modeling techniques and ability to work with big data
