Job Description

What we expect of you

The Digital Product Development Initiatives function is responsible for creating and building world class digital acceptance solutions for deployment across Europe. This role will be responsible for directing the product roadmap and ensuring the right product features and initiatives are delivered to optimize our digital acceptance product offering and uptake. This includes:

  • Ownership of regional product direction
  • Defining the Digital product vision and roadmap with an exceptional understanding of client/consumer needs and behaviors
  • Evangelize the product vision to strategic clients, product delivery teams, GTM functions and executive stakeholders
  • Development of the product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product requirement and design documents
  • Leading our agile product owners to build, prioritise and maintaining backlogs
  • Driving product roadmap delivery progress and embedding a high transparency collaborative cross-functional culture
  • Makes tough decisions and recommendations on feature prioritization based on commercial viability and client testing

Day to day…

  • Develop features roadmap based on an understanding of consumer and client needs gathered from client facing teams, together with an assessment of likely benefit.
  • Align and prioritise European requirements with global delivery teams to ensure solutions are developed and commercialised to support regional needs.
  • Lead product development initiatives required to execute our defined strategy. This includes but is not limited to gathering requirements, defining new product features, market testing, and working with our tech and client integration teams to drive delivery and continuous improvement of our digital acceptance products.
  • Provide leadership and direction for complex cross regional or cross-functional product initiatives.
  • Build strong partnership with key client partners, account executives, in-market and global product teams, client services and senior leaders.
  • Develop and disseminate materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on new product offerings
  • Working closely with commercialisation, in market client delivery teams, develop pilot framework and strategy, launch communications plan and execution framework for new products offerings
  • Orchestrate cross-functional coordination to execute pilots and formal product launches
  • Effectively support Sales, Product and Client Services’ teams to drive new product adoption.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the team and maintain the latest knowledge of new products and technology.
  • Understand the platform in its entirety including but not limited to: overall architecture, integration options, connections with other systems and services, features and capabilities, implementation nuances, pricing, risks, rules, etc.

Qualifications

  • A Product Development or engineering background, with significant experience of building e-commerce, digital and mobile payments platforms with a keen eye for UX design
  • Passion and deep knowledge of global and emerging payments technologies, products solutions, technical architecture, commercial and operational frameworks
  • Expert knowledge on payment eco-system, digital product and payment channels and how these shape the eco-system, impact clients’ business and influence consumer payment choice.
  • Strong understanding of card payments, payment tokenisation, eCommerce, authentication and web-based technology including HTML, JavaScript, web- based service APIs, JSON, XML.
  • Understanding of EMVCo, Eurozone regulation and directives, SEPA, IFR, GDPR and PSD2
  • Creative hypothesis driven problem-solving skills; Innovative, open-minded with strategic thinking.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines. In particular, an ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences for internal and external audiences is critical
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain highly satisfied, successful, team and customer /partner relationships.
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs
