Job Description

Our Corporate Risk Technology team is looking for a Sr. Manager for delivering state-of-the-art Risk Analytics Solutions under the umbrella of Risk Technology. 

This is a people manager role responsible for leading a technical team to design, develop, configure, test, and deploy solutions on the current Risk & Controls Analytics platform that integrate with number of internal and external source systems. There will be significant collaboration with business partners, multiple Visa IT teams for delivery and maintenance of platforms

Responsibilities:

·       Lead and manage a growing team of highly talented and enthusiastic workforce

·       Guide, mentor, train, and support team members to develop their careers

·       Challenge and support your team to deliver lasting, scalable, and secure solutions that offer delightful user experiences in Agile Methodologies.

·       Participate in technical delivery activities including requirements finalization, estimation, architecture artifacts, design, development, testing, L1 support training, deployment, launch and post-launch readiness, and maintenance.

·       Identify and overcome risks, blockers, and technology limitations to meet stakeholder expectations.

·       Communicate regularly with stakeholders, understand their product/project KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), manage their expectations, and earn their trust.

·       Cultivate the culture of innovation within the organization by driving cross-collaboration

·       Ensure quality standards through testing and promotion of Automation

·       Sustain existing solutions and promote ideas that mature existing solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as computer science or related filed, data engineering,
• 10+ years’ experience building end-to-end systems as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer
• 3+ Years of Experience in managing a high functioning technology team developing new solutions in Agile framework, maintaining existing platforms
• Experience applying software engineering rigor and best practices to machine learning, including CI/CD, automation, etc.
• Experience with visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI, open-source tool, or similar
• Experience with extracting and aggregating data from large data sets using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or other tools
• Self-motivated and drive for excellence


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managing high volume, complex analytics platforms
• Experience in estimations, resource and work planning to deliver initiatives on time with high quality
• Functional knowledge of risk and experience in working with internal applications is preferred
• Experience in Talend, scheduling tools, Hadoop, Python
• Experience in design/ code reviews, process improvements, monitoring solutions
• Experience in working with structured and unstructured data, Consumption of API’s
