Job Description

We are looking for interns on a number of teams in our Ashburn, VA office. Some of the teams you could work on are:

  • Information Security: providing enterprise-wide, risk-based security and continuity capability, identify and protect sensitive information, detect and respond to cyber threats, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Operations & Infrastructure: building, operating, and maintaining secure and reliable data centers, systems and networks to support the business functionality that Visa provides to payment industry stakeholders.

Job duties and past projects have included:

  • Utilizing web software development to implement functionality that will increase efficiency and productivity across all systems
  • Analyzing and project managing research and documentation of global banking systems and regulations using data analytics
  • Supporting hardware and network installations to enhance and establish infrastructure in Visa’s data center facilities
  • Building and enhancing client / vendor maintenance activities, including data mining change incidents

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Master’s students graduating in December 2017 or later (unless enrolled to immediately pursue an additional degree)
  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in Linux, Windows, MS Office, Data Management, Analytics or Shell Scripting
  • Strong ability to collaborate
  • Highly driven and resourceful
  • Experience with BI dashboards and visualization tools (Tableau) may be helpful
