Team Description

Global Merchant Sales and Solutions is a team dedicated to serving the needs of our merchant and acquiring partners. The Global Merchant Sales and Solutions team is focused on ensuring that Merchants prefer Visa. We want our clients to see Visa as a trusted strategic partner that delivers tangible value and is easy to do business with. Our actions are designed to protect and grow payment volume and revenue contributions while increasing the value merchants perceive and balancing the needs of all of our stakeholders.

We are looking for interns to join our Merchant Sales & Solutions Organization.  Some past job duties and projects have included:

• Working with Visa merchant consultants on developing analyses to support growth of Visa acceptance and address operational issues
• Conducting deep dive analysis into under-penetrated industry segments like government, tax and debt repayments
• Supporting assessment and positioning of loyalty, rewards and data solutions that help issuers and merchants drive incremental payment volume
• Utilizing industry and Visa data, market research and best practices to deliver recommendations to Visa’s merchant clients on marketing engagements that create value and allow Visa’s products to achieve client objectives

So what are we looking for in a Merchant Sales & Solutions intern?

• Students graduating in 2018 or later (unless enrolled to pursue an additional degree in Fall 2018)
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• A working knowledge of company financial reports
• Excellent quantitative/analytic skills
• Technical aptitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• A background in financial and business analysis, digital advertising, data products or B2B marketing
