Job Description

Visual Soft, Inc is a subcontractor to a prime on their 15+ year contract with one of the institutes of National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. 

***At our own cost, we sponsor for H1B (non-cap quota)/Permanent Residency in US for qualified candidates who are currently residing in US or outside the US*** 

 

Salary: 60k to 125k/yr with standard benefits as listed below (entry to senior level positions)

Number of positions: 8+ (an ONGOING requirement)

Duration: Very long term

Job Description:

Scientific programmer to work in the field of Bioinformatics with a strong emphasis in C, C++ and UNIX. The end client is a large reputed scientific organization based out of Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

To qualify candidates must have a Masters or PhD in a scientific field (physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology etc), ZERO to 10+ years’ experience in C, C++, background in algorithm development and implementation and/or programming support of scientific research are highly desired. Experience with SQL and database programming is highly desired. 

**In addition, candidates will have to answer to C/C++ Questionnaires for further consideration of their candidacy.  We will send out the questionnaires for qualified candidates that apply for this position.

•         Fifteen (15) PTO Days (Personal Time Off - this combines vacation and sick time) - accrues at rate of 4.62 hours per paycheck based on a 26 week payroll cycle.

•         Unused vacation will be issued as a check at the end of your anniversary; PTO cannot be rolled over to next year

•         50% Health and Dental insurance coverage after 30 days of employment with us only for employees.  This coverage becomes effective on the first of calendar month

following your initial 30 days of employment. 

•         STD, LTD and One time Life Insurance policies will be extended to all full time employees at no cost after 30 days of employment

•         All employees are eligible to participate in our 401k plan after 90 days of employment with us.  Employer match to the 401k is 4%

•         All full time employees must undergo a general background investigation and a drug test for this position.  Annual random drug test may also be conducted at no cost on any full time employee of the company
