Job Description

This contract position will support the Samsung RMA process through supporting field engineers with repairs, swaps, and resolutions.  The RMA engineer will also direct, train, and support RMA hardware technicians in the review process of returned hardware/equipment.  Additional tasking will include monitoring site alarms and ensuring resolution by client, Samsung, or general contractors, supporting RMA logistics, order creation for replacement/RMA equipment, client interaction supporting RMA procedures and process, onsite field support, and screening of hardware.  The RMA engineer is also responsible for test beds in main warehouse and local warehouses.  Travel of 30% is likely.

The experience required is field technician/engineer, field support, installation and commissioning, using test equipment (Site Master, Spectrum Analyzers, PIM Test, and Telco test equipment.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to posture our positions effectively to internal and external customers are required.  Korean literacy (verbal/written) is desired, but not required.

Qualifications

Experience with wireless networks, architecture and protocols

Experience with Core Network Equipment (BSC, EPC, RNC, EMS…)

Experience with cell site equipment including cabinets, power systems, and RF hardware.

Experience with RF engineering of cell site hardware: antennas, filters, combiners

Experience with CDMA network architecture, RAN and core network equipment

Experience with WiMAX network architecture, RAN and core network equipment

Experience with LTE network architecture, RAN and core network equipment

Experience with System performance analysis

Experience with Network performance analysis and optimization

Experience with RF and hardware testing including use of spectrum analyzers, signal generators, sweep test

Experience with IP networks and protocols

Ability to troubleshoot problems in inter-operability of various network elements

Ability to manage vendors to provide services and products

Korean speaking/writing preferred

Ability to provide technical direction to other Engineers/technicians

Ability to work and communicate with a broad set of team members of varying knowledge base through verbal and written methods

Ability to travel during the project

BSEE with minimum of 5 years of experience in wireless infrastructure is required
