We are looking to add a Director of Professional Services to our team to help us grow to the next level in delivering well architected and high quality solutions to our clients. This is a new role at Visus LLC and one that will be a key building block in our growth as we go to the next level.

You will be joining a highly skilled team leveraging modern web, mobile, and big data technologies in a fast paced, highly collaborative work environment.

The Director of Professional Services will manage our client solutions team (developers and project managers) to ensure the successful delivery of solutions to our clients. You’ll be responsible for establishing standards and best practices that support the company's growth.

This position will have direct reports, some located remotely.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day to day delivery of client solutions; implementation, delivery, and support.
2. Maintain proactive open lines of communication with the client ensuring a high level of responsiveness and expectations are being met.
3. Direct the overall execution of all software development projects including scheduling, budget, and quality of deliverables. 
4. Lead and manage team of Project Managers and Developers.
5. Implement best practices and continuous improvement for increased team productivity and efficiency.
6. Lead team in delivering high quality solutions that exceeds clients' expectations.
7. Participate in discovery meetings with clients to establish product requirements and partner with the development team to provide accurate estimations.
8. Provide timely project updates along with budgets and actuals for financial reports and reviews.
9. Conduct regularly scheduled team and one-on-one meetings with direct reports to address issues, and provide updates regarding development and performance.
10. Recruit new team members to support the growth of the organization.

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Professional Services or Consulting.
2. Prior experience leading software development teams towards the successful delivery of web and mobile applications.
3. Bachelor's Degree in related field or other relevant combination of training and experience.
4. Proven ability to manage multiple software projects simultaneously.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
6. Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills. Able to engage and inspire team members and clients.
7. Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and make effective process improvements.
9. Oversee the team’s career development to ensure retention, motivation, and engagement.
10. Experience building a services organization, including recruiting, on-boarding, training, and mentoring new team members.
11. Experience drafting proposals and SOWs.

This is a full time position located in Santa Barbara, CA. Candidate must be able to work from our office Monday through Thursday at a minimum.
