  • Use content to achieve business goals, communicate strategic messaging, to help people find content, facilitate transactions and sustain branded experiences
  • Design and maintain the Editorial Style Guide for Volusion’s online, web-application used by our 30,000+ clients
  • Demonstrate the ability to make dull content interesting and engaging
  • Through copywriting, narrate the ideal user experience consistent with the overall content strategy and editorial style guide
  • Create persuasive content that encourages user behavior to meet business objectives
  • Maintain our navigational sitemap and ideal user flows
  • Responsible for identifying, structuring, and managing relevant, engaging and contextually appropriate content across multiple projects
  • Organize the categorization and taxonomy of all content (existing & yet to be developed)
  • Work closely with product development to translate business goals into deliverables of content strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing department to ensure consistency around Volusion’s branding



  • 4-5 years of experience encompassing all aspects of web content strategy including copywriting, information architecture, user experience, branding and identity, user personas, editorial direction, content architecture, content management, online writing
  • Expertise in nomenclature, taxonomy, navigation, editorial and copywriting
  • Must have the proven ability to research, organize and simplify complex information structures, taxonomy and categorization of information
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment, a self-starter
