Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Director of Substance Abuse Services is responsible for leading and managing: Inpatient, Detox, IOP  Prevention/Intervention Services, HIV and Outpatient Services.  This position provides direction for these services, develops new services and resources when indicated by Community needs, and assures that quality, client-centered services are afforded to persons within the priority population.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

1.Knowledge of relevant State laws, procedures, policies, and trends relevant to the programs being led.

  

2.Ability to manage staff and provide the leadership for a Substance Abuse program committed to the concepts of “Accountable Care”.

  

3.Knowledge of budget development and preparation.

  

4.Ability to work well with local agencies in order to provide community outreach and awareness of Company programs.

 

5.Knowledge of grant writing.

  

6.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal formats.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

Three years of experience in chemical dependency programs, one of which was in a supervisory position.

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

 

Masters Degree in Social Work or Psychology and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor required.
