Job Description

Wabash Valley Goodwill provides excellent opportunites in a fast paced retail environment.

Purpose of this position:              

To supervise a sales program using business practices to insure the proper operation of Wabash Valley Goodwill retail store.

Supervision received:                   

Works under the direction of the Retail Operations Director.                                                               

Duties and Responsibilities:        

Monitor the operation of cash registers to insure the proper accountability of all transactions.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain that service across all team members.

Prepares employees work schedules and properly records hours worked.

Transmit all reports to Retail Operations Director as required.

Maintains proper security of the building and merchandise.

Review customer/employee complaints and resolve them as appropriate.

Monitor the stock level of store merchandise and adjust as necessary.

Insure the proper maintenance of merchandise and adjust as necessary.

Conduct employee performance reviews as required.

Conduct store employee meetings as required.

Assist in and directs stocking procedures in the store.

Sort and price incoming stock as needed.

Complete assignment sheets for employees


Train management team and Sales Associates

Same duties as sales associates applies to all management team members.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Education or Experience:             

High school education or general education degree (GED) and/or one to three years of related experience and/or training.                                                                                                                                     

Must have valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

 Language Skills:                                

Ability to read and comprehend simple memos, instructions and short correspondence.  Ability  to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients  and other employees of the organization.

 Mathematical Skills:                       

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

 Reasoning Skills:                              

Ability to effectively instruct personnel in written, oral, or diagram form. Apply skills in handling personnel conflict or employee problems.


Physical Demands:                         

Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.                                        

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, move/push / pull up to 100 pounds.

 Ability to use hand to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

 Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to operate and drive a motor vehicle and maintain a current driver’s license.
