Job Description

The IT team is currently looking to augment its Systems staff to help the firm maintain its technology infrastructure.

You will be the main Help Desk contact and expected to do everything from grunt work to finding the root cause of complex technical issues. We believe in personal improvement and there will be opportunities for learning in all areas of IT, but your primary focus will be Desktop support.

Qualifications

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you must possess the following skills:

Technology:

  • A good overall grasp of technology fundamentals (networking, security, firewalls, etc.)
  • Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit
  • MS Office 2007/2010
  • Excel macros a plus
  • Windows command line
  • Windows scripting (PowerShell preferred)
  • Active Directory administration

 

Ongoing Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for level 1 and 3 support within the organization
  • Understand the user environment
  • Actively support the environment
  • Occasional off-hours support
  • Image and deploy new PCs
  • Maintain image, package applications, deploy applications
  • Patch management
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Ensure users are happy
  • Ensure IT management is happy

Education / Experience:

  • College degree required
  • Demonstrable experience
  • Experience in the Financial sector a plus
