This position is with an IT department of an automobile dealership located in Charlotte, NC.  

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

Answering help desk phone calls and emails

 

Troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Office, Windows XP & 7, Reynolds and Reynolds products and various dealer and automotive specific software packages

 

Installing and configuring software on Windows XP and Windows 7 systems

 

Logging and escalating trouble tickets

 

Processing requests for account changes

 

Coordinate hardware replacements in the event of hardware failures

 

Attending continuing education sessions 8 hours per month 

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from accredited college or university or equivalent IT or customer service experience required

 

Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare or Netapp Certification - Preferred, not required

 

Working knowledge of Windows Client operating system troubleshooting, Reynolds and Reynolds systems, Microsoft Office Preferred, not required

 

Duties are performed primarily in an office environment. Some travel may be required.

 

Lifting of computers and other components that may weigh in excess of 30lbs. is a common activity.

 

Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Additional Information

Starting Salary: $35k - $39k (depending on experience)
