WayForward Technologies is an independent video game developer based in Valencia, California.

Build REST APIs to support client teams in developing video games. Each API is developed with robust machine readable specifications in Swagger (I hate that name) format. The ideas behind each API developed follow guidelines similar to those found in https://github.com/interagent/http-api-design. Testing is core to development and we treat testing from unit tests to performance tests as crucial elements in our success.

There are currently two APIs being worked on, one in Python using Django 1.7 and another in Java using Jax RS. Deployments are done automatically to AWS via a CI/CD build system.

An ideal candidate would have a familiarity with the following technologies or a desire to learn them.

REST APIs in general

Python - 2.7.9

Java - 8

Django - 1.7.3

AWS - ELB, EC2, OpsWorks, CloudFormation and RDS

Swagger - 1.2, 2.0 or other API specifications like WSDL 

Postgres - 9.3
