Job Description

Waynflete seeks adjunct instructors for the Performing Arts Program to teach in the Middle and/or Upper Schools.  The goal of the 6-12 Performing Arts Courses is to introduce students to various aspects of theatre, music & movement.  Courses offered include: Improvisation, Stage Tech, Jazz Band, Steel Drums, Play Writing, Chorus, and A Capella.

Programs for which the school is now seeking candidates include: Dance, Film-making, and African Drumming.
 

Upper School Performing Arts classes run twice weekly in three 8-week terms, September-November, November-February, March-May.  Middle School classes run twice weekly from September–May.   Classes take place on Mondays and Thursdays (2:00 to 3:00 for Upper School, 10:55 to 11:45 for Middle School). Responsibilities include teaching 6-15 students, implementing specific curriculum, and recording student progress.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have significant experience teaching in the performing arts in a school setting, strong collaborative skills, flexibility, and sense of humor.
