Our client is looking for a creative, active young professional that is willing to work on various acquisitions for their company in Ethiopia.

Background of the company

In 2009 our client started its interventions in Ethiopia within the business sector and has been growing ever since. They are working at the edge of business development and aid, where sustainability of the actions and advices are the key for success. They are a company that is working on CSR by its own practice while at the same time providing guestlectures and advice on this topic. They are a member of CSR International, EU Business Forum for Ethiopia and some other interesting groups.

Our client is working in Addis Ababa as well as in far away remote areas. We work cross sectoral, consider gender issues and are working with international companies and organisations. At the same time we are working on capacity building of local businesses. We are active in targetting women owned businesses and are involved in various programmes that are related to gender balance, education and health.

We are looking for you if you:

-          Have a minimum of BA/MSc in business development, environmental studies or equivalent

-          Happy to work for 6 months in Ethiopia

-          Are able to work independently and interested to work in an international environment

-          Possess diplomatic skills, know how to adjust

-          Have a clear understanding of tendering procedures, know how to go about this and are able to come up with a proper proposal (narrative and financial)

-          Have experience or are interested in B2B development

-          Like to work outside prescribed frameworks

-          Understand the CSR concept as part of ‘ real’ sustainable development for food insecure areas

-          Are happy to work hard and not afraid to work outside office hours

-          Are able to do whatever it takes to make a deadline or to get that assignment

-          Are a good writer in English (UK and US)

-          Willing to travel for assessments to remote areas (where you might face hardships, heat, basic food, no luxury, some days without internet or phone access)
