At this moment they are a privately owned company with around 60 people employed. They operate in 5 different business (b2b) markets;  Maritime, Industry, Automotive, Off grid Solar en Mobility.

They design, produce and sell inverter/charger combinations, battery chargers , MPPT charge controllers and more related power conversion products. Their products have strong reputation of being technically innovative, reliable and sustainable. Our client is known worldwide as a professional choice for unreliable electrical energy sourcing.

Job Description

We are looking for one or more market reseach/sales managers that are interested in executing the sales of Victron products in East Africa. The job is very individual. You are expected to explore and penetrate the market of your country or area with your Victron expertise. The aim is to support the existing dealer/distributor/installers with knowledge and training and expand the network with new ones if needed.

The Market Research/Sales manager should be based in Africa already (incl. valid permit). He/she works from home mostly. 

As Market Research/Sales Manager you report directly to the management team at the headquarters in the Netherlands. The management team consists of the two owners.

 

Tasks:

 Ø  Manage and expand the network within your area

Ø  Find new leads and maintain existing leads in order to improve the sales

Ø  Inform / training local distributors

Ø  Aftersales

Ø  Reporting to head office in the Netherlands

Qualifications

Requirements:

Ø  Experience with Victron products or similar (must)

Ø  Living in Africa or knowledge of African area (must)

Ø  Be an area specialist who is fluent in English / French / Portuguese, depending on the area

Ø  Speaking local languages is a pré 

Ø  Positive attitude towards the industry

Ø  Commercial drive and result driven

Ø  Good networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen

Ø  Entrepreneurial DNA

Ø  Creative solutions driven mind-set, with a getting things done mentality

Ø  Negotiation skills

Ø  Flexible attitude , hands on if needed.

Ø  Regular travelling required
