Company Description

Our client is one of East Africa's original safari companies. For the past 20 years they have owned and operated small safari camps in three of the remotest corners of Tanzania. They have built a reputation for quality that they are proud of.

They are looking for a Front of House Manager to help them with hosting of clients ensuring they are well looked after as well as to promote the camps.

Job Description

 Organising all guide and vehicle allocation through advance planning.

 Managing guest expectations from the start while monitoring their experiences throughout their stay.

 Ensuring that activity choices are available and making alternative plans when requested to do so if at all possible.

 Organise client and agent transfers with the assistance of administration manager, who will assist with appropriate transfer drivers to avoid back of house conflict

 Monitor guides and quality of each activity e.g. game drives, walks, fly camp, sundowners, boat trips, and transfers to ensure that the company’s standards are maintained. Make sure that guest days are filled with interesting, fun, varied and rewarding activities.

 Assist with continuous training for existing and prospective guides and end of season training events.

 Ensuring the safety of guests on activities including fly camp, walking, vehicle and boat safaris is being upheld by guides and scouts sticking to the company’s standard operating procedures.

 Promoting the camp through the blog, facebook and other means as directed by the marketing team.

 Assisting with the building of agent relations through the hosting of fam trips and the feedback on guests, encouraging return visits through promotion of camps and services as well as upcoming offers and promotions.

 Assisting Administration Manager in outlining areas of wastage in beverage and food

consumption and identifying expensive ingredients/dishes that could be avoided without

compromising quality.

Qualifications

 Must be well organised and can manage a team of staff.

 An individual with practical mentality in camp management or relevant experience in hospitality

industry.

 An in depth knowledge of maintenance and repair, stock taking, personnel training and report

writing is important.
