Makasa Tanzanian Safaris is a healthy growing independent safari company based in Moshi, Tanzania. We provide tailor made safaris and mountain climbs within Tanzania. Because of strong growth within our company we are looking on a short term for an Accountant / Financial Controller of 1fte for a period of 6 months (with possible extension) in Moshi, Tanzania. 

As an Accountant / Financial Controller with Makasa you are responsible for restructuring all financial aspects and improving (and setting up) new financial processes. Due to our growth we need development in financial monitoring, reporting and administration. 

On the office and outside the office you will;

- Improve (and set up) the entire bookkeeping and all its related procedures

- Improve all financial administration in hardcopy and digital (in our system Quickbooks)

- Execute all fiscal returns

- Consult with TRA (Tanzanian Tax Authorities)

- Compose monthly and quarterly reports

- Compose liquidity planning and control cash flow

- Train staff in financial administration

You fit with Makasa in this job if;

- You have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy / Business Economics

- You master the English language and terminology of accountancy

- You have experience in living, working or studying abroad

- There is a minimal of 2 year similar work experience on your resume 

- Strong analytical thinking and solution focused describes your personality

- You are flexible in handling other cultures, especially on business level

- You are strong in communication
