Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Ruby/Rails Web Application Developer. Help refactor our existing custom front-end RoR website, and accompanying back-end administration portal. You're demonstratively experienced with building scalable distributed web apps with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ruby, Rails, MySQL, etc. Preference will be given to individuals who are also enthusiastic about learning new languages (Golang) and Agile Methodology.


• Build and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and other open-source platforms and technologies

• Collaborate with different teams to successfully build and publish websites

• Ability to work independently as well as leveraging the contributions of others

• Use source code management to track changes, create branches, and merge patches between stable and release branches

• Participate in all stages of software development -from early brainstorming to coding and bug fixing

• Write excellent code and associated tests


• Not currently attending a coding bootcamp (Sorry, check back in a few years)
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby.
• Professional experience with debugging, profiling, and tuning Rails for performance.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL.

Bonus points:
Riak or other distributed databases
