Youth Speak Media Solutions (YSMS) is a youth led business venture that takes young people from the Northeast San Fernando Valley and pairs them with working professionals to produce high-quality videos and photos for local businesses, non-profit organizations, and foundations. 

Job Description

Salary: Non-paid Internship
Education: H.S. Diploma required
Location: Northeast San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, CA
Language(s): English and Spanish preferred
Area of Focus: Youth Empowerment, Community Development, Education & Training

Type: 4-6 hours per week, minimum 4 month commitment

Start date: Flexible start date 


Job Description: The Team Manger will be directly involved in organizational and administrative support, ensuring and managing potential and active jobs. Candidates must be organized and detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. 



  • Assist in facilitation of weekly team meetings

  • Develop sustainable team structure within team members, mentors, and advisors

  • Provide administrative support for Creative Director and Executive Director

  • Prospect and develop new client relationships via telephone and email

  • Organize, follow-up and secure jobs from existing and potential clients

  • Create and send out contracts with active clients

  • Track client invoices and payments through database

  • Attend conferences, meetings and participate in outreach events as needed

  • Attend weekly team meetings 



    • Current college student

    • An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who is innovative, flexible, persistent and ambitious

    • Must be comfortable working in a team environment

    • Bilingual and/or bicultural, but not necessary

    • Excellent networking and communication skills (verbal and written)

    • Willingness to work some non-traditional hours and Saturdays as required.

    • A self-starter with the ability to work successfully with little supervision

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Access

    • Have at least one year prior experience in given field

    • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and eager to learn

    • Valid driver’s license
