This professional will monitor and performs daily activities of the revenue cycle and collections process. Communicates with patients to ensure high quality service levels. Acts as a first-level escalation for patient and insurance collections. Great opportunity to mentor and develop a great team.



Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

50% Patient & Insurance Collection

 Supervise the operations for both patients and insurance collections.

 Review current status of patient accounts to identify, resolve billing and processing problems in a timely manner.

 Resolves complex insurance rejections and other filing related problems.

 Balances staff work flows amongst team members and ensures each member is completing their volume of work

 Supports collection staff with challenging denial

 Recognizes denial patterns and notifies Business Office Director of trends

 Reviews and corrects escalated clearinghouse rejections

 Collaborates with Business Office Director to successfully meet the departmental goals

20% Collection Management

 Manages transfer of all accounts to collection agency

 Ensure established payment plan guidelines are adhered to

 Supports the collection staff in maximizing collections and lowering of outstanding Accounts Receivable balances.

20% Compliance & Reporting

 Keeps up with contractual and government regulatory changes

 Assist Business Office Director in ensuring all month-end reporting are completed and available to Controller

 Responsible for all collection management reporting, adjustments for collections, non-processed claims, fee schedules and payer trends.

10% Train Mentors and Coaches

 Assist with onboarding of new staff, mentors and re-trains existing staff

 Creates user guides, with screen shots and quick tips

 Ensures communication to all team members and affected sites


Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years Collection Management;
  • Current knowledge of revenue cycle regulatory changes and current CMS guidelines
  • Collaboration Team Player, Compassionate,
  • Ability to use good judgment in meeting objectives, supporting staff and patients.
  • Interacts positively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, insurance providers, referring provider’s other office staff members, and the general public.
  • Maintains a friendly, helpful, supportive and team-like atmosphere among co-workers
  • Strong supervisory skills


Additional Information

Salary range is : 75,000 - 85,000 plus bonus and great benefits
