This professional will have management responsibility and report to the VP of Operational Accounting. Includes managing and coordinating the accounting functions to ensure the operations are properly accounted for: revenues are properly recorded and reported, receipts and disbursements of the Company’s funds are accurate, and reporting is timely.



Job Description

Duties
• Manages the monthly accounting close to ensure the process runs smoothly, timely, and accurately. This includes a review of the trial balance for reasonableness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Reviews required reporting.
• Manages the monthly revenue recognition from all sources – pipeline, terminal, etc.
• Manages monthly invoicing of all fees as specified in each customer contract. Approves invoices for fees and review reconciliation of the related accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Review and approve all entries as it relates to individual customer contracts.
• Review, prepare, and submit data for quarterly and yearly Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing, internal audit and outside auditors.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates information received from operating departments
• Assists with the preparation and review of the revenue analysis and explanations for variance between periods.
• Coordinates the formulation and documentation of accounting standard operating procedures.
• Assists in leading specific areas of special projects assigned within the department and perform special projects as assigned.


COMPENSATION: 90,000- 110,000 plus 22-40% bonus and benefits paid

Qualifications

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ten plus years of Accounting experience required.
• Minimum three years accounting supervisory experience required.
• Experience in revenue accounting and analysis preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills required.
• Demonstrated logic and reasoning skills.
• Recent successful experience in a deadline driven, rapidly changing environment.
• Desire to continue to learn, be challenged and progress
