Accounting Manager and Accounting Senior - CPA or CPA in process

Global Company on the Northwest Side is adding to the team due to growth and two recent internal promotions

The company has a great culture of not only teamwork; they have a great track record of developing and mentoring team members. All promotions to manager and senior have been internal. Also with their growth, you can progress at what speed works for you. It is a fun time in their evolution.

No transactional coding work or reconciliations; higher level of owning the general ledger, account analysis, month end close and special projects.

Compensation: 80,000 -95,000 plus bonus at 16%

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare and analyze financial statements using and exercising discretion and judgment in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

· Review balance sheet accounts reconciliations

· Analyze income statement – actual to budget and period to period.

· Develops and maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes and internal controls.

· Focus on serving the operations – teaming up with them to help drive the business

· Maintain recurring journal entries, including support and calculations

· Prepare and enter journal entries as needed

· Be a part of a team to drive change – from process improvements to implementations

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

· General ledger/financial statement experience

Energy, and drive

· Positive attitude

· Desire to interact with operations and team members v. sitting quietly in a cube.
