Our mobile solution and concierge service empowers members to be savvier healthcare consumers who are happier, smarter, and more confident using and navigating the healthcare system.

We’re growing quickly and are looking for an Insurance Call Center Advisor to provide healthcare advocacy services to Zest Health members in a call center environment. From helping members understand their insurance benefits to scheduling appointments with providers and investigating claim and billing inquiries, you’ll deliver exceptional concierge support alongside our team of registered nurses.

Job Description

  • Answer call center calls and handle in accordance with call center policies
  • Determine level and type of service needed and eligibility of members
  • Communicate with providers to schedule appointments; Research provider referral requests based on member preferences
  • Interpret insurance policy benefits; Investigate claim and billing inquiries from members
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues with the mobile application
  • Document all relevant information effectively and accurately; Work with team and resources to resolve client and member issues, clearly communicating complaints to team leaders as needed
  • Adhere to established performance metrics to meet client service level agreement(s) and maintain compliance of all organizational standards


Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical orientation – ability to gather, research and synthesize complex information
  • Ability to anticipate customer/member needs and manage difficult or emotional member situations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in CPT and ICD-9 coding, familiarity with medical terminology and billing preferred
  • Health insurance experience required, insurance certification/licensure preferred
  • Claims processing experience preferred
  • Startup experience a plus
  • Ability to work some weekend hours (remote) required
