Zest Health, a venture-backed healthcare tech startup located in downtown Chicago, is reinventing the way consumers experience healthcare and how employers pay for it. We are in search of a Senior Outside Sales professional who can target strategic TPA, health plan, broker and employer prospects, develop a pipeline in those channels and regularly on-board new customers. This Senior Outside Sales team member will own the sales process from end to end: design and implement effective sales plans, conduct presentations and product demonstrations, close deals and provide customer insight to our technology and operations teams.

We’re seeking a driven, accomplished sales person who will jump aboard and dig right in. This role requires a hunter with an understanding of healthcare channels who can zero in on high value prospects, grow those relationships and achieve sales goals. The successful candidate actively listens to and addresses potential customer pain points and has a keen sensibility for steering the conversation. As the face of Zest in the market, our ideal candidate is eager to champion Zest Health as a leader in the healthcare tech space and quickly make an impact within one of the fastest growing startups in Chicago.

Job Description

  • Generate leads to build, grow and manage a targeted pipeline – heavy prospecting via warm/cold contacts
  • Establish and build relationships, connect with C-level executives and key decision makers
  • Evaluate pipelines opportunities and regularly close deals to meet goals
  • Conduct product demos and presentations both via the web and in-person
  • Increase revenues by developing and executing effective selling strategies
  • Take the lead on new opportunities across various channels
  • Work closely with the sales team to continually assess and exceed goals


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a quota-carrying healthcare/benefits sales role selling to or within TPA’s, health plans or large employer accounts – You have a current network of contacts to reach out to right out of the gate.
  • Proven track record of targeting and closing deals – You have a hunter mentality, backed by a solid strategy for building relationships, managing a complex sales cycle and delivering signed contracts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to make an impact – You’ve got grit, a sense of urgency, and the motivation to make your mark within a fast growing company
  • Polished communication and client interaction skills – You actively evaluate what’s happening on the other side of the table, respond to objections and guide the conversation.
  • Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
  • Tenacity, positivity, and accountability
  • Startup experience a plus
