Zoltek has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the design, installation and improvement of production process systems.

The responsibilities would include the following:

• Manage and coordinate the process of the operational and systems infrastructure of the carbon fiber manufacturing process, under limited supervision
• Lead the design, installation and improvement of Zoltek’s production process systems requiring the integration of people, equipment and materials
• Strive to improve quality processes and costs to meet or exceed customer requirements
• Conduct research on and development of solutions to process problems

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering is required
• 5+ years’ experience in process engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of CAD, MS Office, and project scheduling systems
• Knowledge of and experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Theory of Constraints is desired
• Training in Statistical Process Control is desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective presentation skills and problem solving skills, exceptional organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to comprehend and apply engineering principles and statistical theory to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to plan own work schedule and priorities; set and meet objectives required for the continuous functioning of a carbon fiber manufacturing production process
