Job Description

The New Technology & Development Process Technician will take part in the development of new processes and procedures through the conducting of or hands-on participating in production trials.  


Responsibilities will include:


  • Work with various plant teams to develop the processes required for bringing new technology into full scale production, including providing training of production personnel. 
  • Participate in design reviews of composite production processes and equipment.   
  • Perform standard manufacturing tasks and other duties as needed in all areas of the plant.
  • Maintain a safe and ethical work environment. 

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma/GED along with at least 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; or Associate’s Degree in a study with some relevance to this field
  • Good math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Capacity to think through complex processes by understanding and analyzing written instructions
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a safe and ethical work environment when working with hand tools, solvents, resins and other chemicals
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed
  • Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time

Desirable:

  • Experience in composite manufacturing
  • Equipment/metal fabrication skills

Additional Information

Work Schedule:


Monday – Friday 8am to 4:30pm (day shift).   Occasional weekend/holiday on-call duty may be required.
