Job Description

We are looking for an HR Assistant to join our team in our Corporate Headquarters. The HR Assistant will provide general administrative support (data entry, reporting, filing, etc.) to our U.S. HR & EHS Team in the areas of HRIS administration, payroll, tax reporting, staffing, training, compensation, safety and other HR activities as needed.

Responsibilities will include:

• Record and enter personnel data into HRIS and excel spreadsheets in an accurate and timely manner (e.g. new hire information, pay and benefits, termination or status changes, salary and title adjustments, reporting structure, performance and training information, etc.)
• Prepare reports, charts, documentation, and assist HR & EHS team with other administrative tasks in the areas of recruitment and selection, training, performance, safety, etc.
• File employee documentation accurately and find information upon request
• Assist in maintenance of HR policies, forms, and procedures
• Handle all information confidentially
• Perform other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree in HR/Business Administration or related field a plus
  • 3+ years of experience working in various HRIS systems in an HR / Office Administration role
  • Solid computer skills: Outlook, Excel, HR/Payroll software required, Sharepoint a plus
  • Confidentiality is a must
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with employment state and federal taxes a plus
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles and payroll a plus
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to sit and work extended periods on a computer in an office environment
