Job Description
Ancestry is currently seeking a product leader focused on designing customer facing workflows and controls that build trust between Ancestry and our customers. To build customer trust, you will drive a creative process to define and develop a portfolio of features that enable customers to have full visibility and control into their data and how it is being used on the Ancestry platform. This position reports to our Sr. Manager of Product - Customer Trust, and will be based in our Lehi, UT office.
What you will do
Define a feature roadmap to accelerate and deepen how Ancestry will build trust with its customers
Drive feature development and new innovations that delight customers and enable rich, frictionless management of customer’s identity and lifecycle
Become a domain expert on customer trust and privacy concerns around DNA and Family History data
Establish a framework to help customers easily understand and consent to how their data is and will be used
Identify opportunities to study user interactions and leverage data to reduce friction of high trust tasks, features, and workflows
Build strong working relationships and fundamental alignment with peers in Design, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing
Define and communicate clear success criteria for apps and features
Establish a robust framework for A/B or multivariate testing
Work with PR, Marketing, Legal/Privacy, and Member Services to manage feature launches E2E
Qualifications
Who you are
5+ years of relevant work experience in full stack consumer experience with 3 years in consumer product management focused on trust and/or privacy preferred
Experience delivering innovative product related to customer identity and lifecycle management
Deep understanding of front and back end development to define features at both the UX and API levels
Strong writing skills to clearly articulate a vision / objectives and influence others towards them
Fluent in the language and methods of a fast paced and data driven culture
Obsessed with customer understanding and measurable success
Effective communications skills, presentation techniques, meeting mechanics, and team building skills
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM or economics; MBA preferred
