As a Place Associate, you will work alongside Ancestry’s Content department to enrich historical geographic data. This position will assist Ancestry in verifying current and historical geographic data. As a genealogy company, geography is essential to Ancestry’s goal of enhancing our user experience. You should be willing to learn, make decisions, and give special attention to detail. This position will require you to complete tasks and projects for publication and use on Ancestry’s site. The contract will go until the end of August, 2019.
What you will do:
- Verify and edit current geographic data
- Digitize new geographic data
- Research and contribute new geographic data
Who You Are:
- Pursuing a degree in Geography
- Knowledge and experience with GIS software
- Attention to detail
- Interest in history and/or genealogy research
