Job Description

Have you ever found yourself trying out multiple variations of your drive home from work, analyzing each route for speed, gas mileage, efficiency? Do you love data? Ancestry is looking for a Marketing Technologist to join one of the most exciting Conversion teams in the country to assist in generating and executing A/B tests. The ideal candidate will love data and have a desire to be constantly learning. They will also have a good working knowledge of web development with an ability to create and understand HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating A/B tests. Handling setup for single page tests and monitoring campaigns.
  • Manage code written by front-end developers in both a testing software and CMS solution.
  • Collaborate with developers on campaign creation through HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Scheduling A/B tests and campaign-related code.
  • Problem solving including finding and debugging errors in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Working with various teams and groups to execute test campaigns across the Ancestry network of companies.
  • Experience in self code review and Quality Assurance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited 4-year program.
  • Intermediate understanding of HTML/CSS.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Javascript (ES5/ES6).
  • Experience with website development processes and CMS publishing.
  • Understand A/B testing processes and methodology.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Adobe Target, Optimizely, or another A/B testing tool.
  • Experience with web analytics tool (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Heap, etc.).
  • Experience with CMS tool.
  • Understanding of modern web technology including Node.js, React, Angular etc.
