Job Description

High School Site Coordinator

Essential Functions:

  • Interact with students daily, take attendance and manage sign-outs every day; High volume of parent interaction
  • Review lesson plans for enrichment activities their staff will lead as well as spearhead new programs for site
  • Support academic learning through California standards based curriculum through tutoring and engaging learning activities
  • Be the primary point of contact for program logistics pertaining to their school site and act as a liaison for parents, teachers, administration, students and staff
  • Manage supplies used for after school program, age appropriate curriculum development and review, complete necessary paperwork, create student rosters, recruit for new student enrollment, process timesheets, evaluate staff members
  • Create marketing materials -- Monthly calendars, newsletters, parent boards, info corners to be shared with students, school staff and office staff
  • Manage email account and online calendar for after school program site
  • Supervise staff members that lead after school activities
  • Supervise all activities that occur during after school program
  • Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to educating and empowering youth to reach their fullest potential
  • Have the ability to work with groups of 20 or more students
  • Have extensive knowledge of age appropriate classroom and behavior management skills and age appropriate activity and curriculum planning
  • Be responsible, energetic and creative individual

 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid after school programming operations and administration skills garnered from 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Established computer and tech savvy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and multiple operating systems
  • Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff
  • Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated professional attitude, approach, and commitment to integrity
  • Proven confidentiality and professional discretion
  • Successful adeptness to multitasking and prioritizing tasks and projects
  • Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts
  • Flexibility and ability to embrace change
  • Commitment to working toward the common goal of helping to provide experiential education to underserved young people at our various programs

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working with youth
  • Availability to work set school programming hours
  • Experience working with high  school students
  • Experience working in after school programs or youth recreational facilities
  • Experience in working with ethnic and culturally diverse communities
  • Desire to work outdoors with students
  • Energetic, motivated, outgoing personalities strongly desired
  • Experience of marketing events to students with creativity and clarity
  • 60+ College Units completed or in progress
  • TB Test Clearance & LiveScan Clearance (Background check)
  • Bilingual preferred
