Business Development Specialist / Sales / Marketing
- Insurance Restoration -
Do you understand the difference between sales and marketing? We are looking for someone who can not only reach and persuade the prospects but have the solid sales technique and strategies to close the sale and get a signed agreement. However they will not stop there-- Business Development includes Client Retention!
We are looking for people from the insurance restoration industries who have worked with vendor programs, independent adjusters, general adjusters, and commercial accounts as well.
Major Responsibilities
- responsible for the development of programs to heighten community and industry awareness related to our services with the goal of increasing sales
- capable of generating and developing business from at least $2 - 5M a year
- contacts, schedules and visits no less than 50 current marketing contacts-insurance agents, adjusters and property managers per week and provide them with brochures and information regarding our services.
- contacts, schedules and visits a minimum of 5 new market contacts per week such as property managers, risk managers or other non insurance markets who customarily use or refer restoration service providers.
- record unique notes and characteristics of our customers for network access into our internal data base.
- coordinate informational open house meetings for potential customers
- lunch /dinner Meetings, Open Forums etc
- contact volunteer and community fire departments and coordinate implementation of After the fire programs.
- assists in the design and preparation of resource material to heighten awareness of company s services to increase sales.
- maintains monthly newsletter and social media such as facebook, blogs etc to our current marketing contacts.
- provides a positive image of the company to the general public.
- maintain the attitude and enthusiasm expressed in the company vision at all times.
- provides support to president with assistance in projects or assignments as needed.

Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
- present or prior sales experience within the insurance restoration industry (current working relationships already established with insurance agents, adjusters and property managers a plus)
- solid marketing background with an insurance restoration company
- familiar with vendor program management and a familiarity with insurance adjusting and claims adjudication
- ability to define a target market, cold call and make in-person presentations
- superior presentation and written/verbal communication skills
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in sales and sales promotion within the insurance claims or the restoration industry
- comprehensive understanding of sales tactics, techniques, account forecasting and planning
- proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Desk Top Publishing, Social media etc.) with an ability to adapt to contemporary business practices and strategies
- ability to communicate, build relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- use creativity and interpersonal skills to supply superior organizational and time management expertise
- have personal drive, energy, initiative and risk taking capacity
- must pass criminal background check and drug testing
- have valid driver’s license with a clean proven record
