Job Description

Finance Process and Operations professionals develop and maintain robust Finance & Accounting processes and controls to meet compliance requirements and stewardship of enterprise assets with efficiency and effectiveness. We develop innovative business solutions that help CFO clients improve operational efficiency and transform their finance function into a world class organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Apply finance and accounting transaction processing analysis in one or more core areas: Record-to-Report (RTR), Financial Consolidation, Revenue Recognition/ Revenue Management, Fixed Assets Accounting, Project Financial Control, Financial Management Reporting, to design and implement new re-engineered processes.
  • Work with clients to plan and deliver Finance & Accounting shared services solutions.
  • Provide solutions to complex Finance & Accounting business problems. Participate in setting strategic direction to CFO, Controllers and/or VP Finance for Finance & Accounting operations
  • Lead teams of 1-8 people, guiding them through the business case and work plan development

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience implementing finance operations or business process transformation in Record-to-Report (RTR), Financial Consolidation, Revenue Recognition/ Revenue Management, Fixed Assets Accounting, Project Financial Control, or Financial Management Reporting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working at a management consulting or a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Communications, Media and Technology industry
  • CPA / CA
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to clients’ sites Monday – Friday
  • Pluses:
  • Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting, or MBA
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance including Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience with revenue recognition / revenue management business processes and integration contract management, sales operations, order management and supply chain
  • Knowledge of of recent changes to US GAAP, specifically for revenue recognitions and leasing and change impact implications
