This web agency is looking for a Back-End Web Developer to join their in house Marketing Team, providing client and internal website/content managed solutions to industry best practices. This position is available immediately at the Head Office in Northampton.

You will be responsible for the maintenace and development of internal, existing and new customer’s websites to a given design. You will also be speaking to clients on a daily basis so need to be very articulate both in person and over the phone.

Essential skills

• Proficient with VB.Net/C#.Net, ASP controls, MS SQL Server, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Able to provide online examples of websites / pages that demonstrate semantic mark-up and clean design.
• A team player, able to communicate with leading clients and team members. .
• Eager to contribute to the standards and strategy for front and back end development.
• Well organised with strong attention to detail.
• An enthusiasm for learning - open to challenges and responsive to feedback, reads cutting edge technical books and blogs.

Desirable & Advantageous Skills

• One or more year's commercial experience.
• Have worked within a team and have some project based working experience.
• Knowledge of the latest web technologies and techniques, such as HTML5, CSS3, AJAX and responsive web design.
• Experience with servers (Windows Server 2008 R2), IIS 7, domain DNS settings and email configuration
• SEO and Analytics experience.
• Domain & email management
• Experience with mobile and cross-platform web development.
• Knowledge of the AGILE working method.
• Third party API’s such as, e-Bay, Sage Accounts, Google or Amazon
