our

Responsible on driving key ITIL processes to include configuration, change, incident and problem management for SAP Technical areas and be responsible for reduction in severity and critical issue management, resolving open issues, root cause analysis, capacity and performance management direction, operational monitoring challenges, and drive a common support expectation within the various tracks listed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Monitoring, capacity and performance management, incident, problem, and change management, and configuration management.
  • Manage SAP technical team efforts to the resolution of SAP technical issues.
  • Allocates resources and responsibilities within the team to deliver 24X7 support and business technical requirements.
  • Manage and track the required levels of SAP proactive monitoring and preventative maintenance.
  • Reviews and approves all SAP technical changes and validates their impact to the SAP production environment.
  • Attends or coordinates SAP technical representation for coverage in all SAP operational and change management meetings.
  • Collects and tracks management reports for all SAP technical areas.
  • Provided strong leadership and technical guidance for BASIS team members.
  • Define procedures, processes and requirements for SAP Basis support areas.
  • Ensuring the appropriate controls around maintenance and administration of the SAP System
  • Ability to provide 24X7 for support escalation.
  • Provide Level 3 support for troubleshooting of SAP BASIS severity issues.
  • Review and audit SAP Technical Documentation eg. Run-books, Work Instructions, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of extensive SAP Basis Administration experience in a multi-system, multi-customer landscape supporting SAP ECC,  Netweaver (BI, PI, EP, MDM), SCM and  Business Objects.
  • 5 years of managing SAP Basis Operations with greater than 50 team members
  • Strong  SAP troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Strong background in ITIL guidelines
  • 3+ years of SAP project management experience, specifically managing an outsourcer in the areas of Operational Management and SLA Management.
  • Customer facing skills.
