Job Requirements and Duties

This position provides business analytical support to the FAA Real Estate office. The incumbent will work closely with FAA corporate real estate office and regional and field site managers to analyze usage requirements and comparable costs associated with facility change requests. FAA corporate real estate saves the agency millions of dollars each year through the careful management of its facilities against their evolving business requirements.  

The position requires knowledge of federal budget practices and techniques to formulate budget projections for both single-year and multi-year funding; knowledge of the execution processes to manage and monitor appropriate distribution of single-year and multi-year funds to meet contractual obligations. Further the ability to apply critical thinking the review of facility change requests, their stated usage requirements, and comparable commercial real estate market costs is essential. This position is at the FAA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and may require occasional travel (to 5%).

Qualifications

Competencies

Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 8 years of business/financial experience; at least 5 years of experience in a business-related role supporting the Federal Government 
  • Extensive knowledge of the Delphi accounting system and its reporting functions; ability to utilize reporting functions in response to management requests for various accounting data.
  • PRISM - Knowledge of PRISM acquisition system, familiarity with Purchase Requisitions, understanding of the PRISM accounting process from requisition through obligation and outlay; ability to extract reports from PRISM to demonstrate various aspects of the expenditure of program funds.
  • Understanding of federal or commercial facilities policies and standards
  • Ability to navigate field, regional, and headquarters intra-agency coordination matters, communicate with agency members representing multiple interests, and facilitate cooperation 
  • Knowledge of business finance and budgeting
  • MS Office proficiency with intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLookup tables and/or pivot tables)
  • Ability to manipulate and manage databases
  • Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, professional demeanor, and positive attitude

Desired Skills

  • Recent experience with GSA or FAA facilities management. Knowledge of real estate processes and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, management, or related degree is required.
