Job Description

 

  • Manage day-to-day activities of a multi-state issue advocacy      campaign in conjunction with external consultants and internal client      service teams (including grassroots organizing, coalition management,      digital outreach)
  • Develop and execute winning strategic and tactical plans      to impact the debate in our clients’ favor, using traditional and online      media
  • Write and review campaign materials, tailoring messages      as the debate dictates for various audiences
  • Manage existing relationships and identify new      opportunities to engage like-minded voices and experts on behalf of a      client or client-related issue
  • Create and track measurements for a campaign’s success,      resolve high-level strategic and tactical issues, and regularly package      and report results
  • Establish strong working relationships in all aspects      of the business, including clients and internal teams
  • Contribute to new business opportunities by writing,      verbally presenting, or developing the framework for strategies to aid      prospective clients
  • Oversee budgets and staff for projects

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least 7 years of professional work in communications,      politics/public affairs or corporate/government equivalent; energy or      regulatory experience a plus
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of coalitions and      grassroots and their impact on state and federal public policy issues
  • Ability to master complex issues and make them relevant      to various audiences
  • Ability to manage and execute projects within tight      timeframes without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to make critical (and sometimes difficult)      decisions on a tight deadline to assure that team operations stay on      target and on schedule
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Strong leadership skills are a must
