Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will be the #2 professional in the Accounting Department and occupy a key position. The successful candidate will have a high degree of interaction and visibility with the CFO and senior line management in addition to the Controller. The Company is of a size where the incumbent will have a high-degree of autonomy and an opportunity to utilize business acumen, creativity and drive to make decisions and implement ideas directly impacting the Company’s bottom-line. The position will also offer a good opportunity for advancement. 


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Payroll and Accounts Payable functions and maintains fringe benefit rate accounting
  • Provides client engagement pricing input, maintains pricing models and has primary responsibility for oversight of client engagement project accounting. Is the primary finance function liaison with line management/partners on client engagement accounting and engagement pricing and profitability matters.
  • “Owns” the monthly revenue forecasting and annual budgeting processes
  • Has responsibility for the accounting, treasury management and regulatory filings of a small Belgian subsidiary
  • Works closely with the Controller to drive and manage the monthly and annual closing process with particular emphasis on revenue recognition and project accounting


Qualifications

Candidate Requirements

  • Accounting or Finance undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.3 or better
  • CPA Certification
  • At least 5 years’ experience auditing primarily for-profit businesses with a Big-4 or National CPA firm
  • Responsive, can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills, willingness to work in a small shop environment

Additional Desirable Experience

  • Professional services industry experience as an auditor and/or in an industry assignment
