The Platform as a Service team enables product development teams all across eBay to deliver site features effectively and efficiently using the framework of their choice.  Our team is looking for an experienced Product Manager who can manage highly technical products and lead brilliant engineers. This individual will be responsible for discovering new ideas, emerging trends and open source technologies to leverage in our Platform as a Service offering, develop and execute product and marketing plans to drive the adoption of these offerings and deliver on the fast growing demand for developer technologies within eBay.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Develop a product vision by engaging with internal stakeholders, customers, and break that vision down into an actionable backlog of user stories for the development team
• Work hands-on with the development team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets requirements
• Lead cross-functional and cross-department teams in the delivery of complex and large-scale technical projects
• Help innovate and iterate on agile PM processes
• Act as a product champion to evangelize the product vision effectively to senior stakeholders, internal customers and cross functional teams needed to bring vision to fruition

Job Requirements

• Team player, energetic personality, focused, committed, able to work independently in a fast paced, changing environment
• 5+ years of product management or similar experience, especially with large scale, distributed products
• Skilled at defining and prioritizing product features in a complex technical context
• Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others
• Ability to collaborate well with developers, quality engineers, and other stakeholders
• Previous success leading team within an agile development team
• Background in UI design, IT operations or software development is a plus
