Job Description

TackleDirect is looking for a Full-Time Merchandising Coordinator in our Purchasing Department.

Description:

Organize and maintain communications from vendors, manufacturers’ representatives, and internal departments to assure continuous achievement of departmental goals.

-    Ability to understand complex reports, purchase orders and invoices
-    Generalized office support such as answering phones, filing and operating various pieces of office technology

-    Ability to work with all departments and outside vendors to ensure quality customer service
-    Self-starter with ability to make independent decisions with little supervision and able to do repetitive tasks
-    Good PC skills, mainly Microsoft Office and Access
-    Flexibility and availability to work extended working hours if needed

Responsibilities:

•    Point of contact between the purchasing department and supplying businesses
•    Responsible for closing drop ship orders by providing customer with shipping tracking number and date of shipment
•    Responsible for confirming orders, price, and availability with vendor within 48 hrs of order. Follows up on orders to ensure that purchase orders are shipped and delivered on promised dates
•    Creating and maintaining the file with open drop ship orders as well as standard purchase orders, insuring the most accurate expected date of PO arrival and working to improve dates provided for backordered items on daily basis
•    Maintaining the file with expected availability dates for out of stock/unavailable items
•    Negotiating and executing returns with vendors and assisting in resolving any delivery discrepancy
•    Assuring that all invoice discrepancies are accurately resolved in a timely manner
•    Marking orders with supplier issue for customer's updates
•    Maintaining vendor updates such as list of discontinued items, price changes, contact changes
•    Sending, collecting and processing new product information sheet and all applicable compliance paperwork from suppliers

•    Daily Purchase Order entry if Buyer is out of office
•    Maintaining multiple e-mail boxes


Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 4 years purchasing experience in established company
• Extreme attention to detail; ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to react effectively in unexpected and multifaceted situations
• Career oriented and passionate about growing with the company
• Positive team player with the ability to work gracefully with a wide range of professionals and personalities
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
