We are looking for a Microsoft Windows Server Administrator . Local (from Iowa and adjacent states ) candidates preferred. This is a W2 or 1099 hourly contract position. Corp  to Corp will not be considered for this position  .The contract is expected to start on 20-Apr-2015 and will go on till 18-Oct-2015 . Description : 

This position provides Microsoft Windows server administration and support for enterprise-level services in the hosted environment. This environment hosts hundreds of physical and virtual servers and supports functions and business-critical services for executive branch agencies. 

Responsibilities include

• Configuration, installation, and maintenance of enterprise Windows-based physical and virtual servers

• Configuration, installation, and maintenance of enterprise VMware-based virtual environment

• User account management for multiple state agencies in Active Directory.

• Set up folder structure and manage access controls (file security permissions) for customer agency file services.

• Support print server functions

• Problem resolution, and support for customers

• Recommend and implement system tuning, security and configuration changes 

• Coordinate and perform installations, upgrades, migrations 

• Adhere to defined incident/change management process

• Regular communication with other technical teams and business owners

• Work with customers to develop testing and implementation schedules as needed

• Maintain technical documentation to reflect changes to the environment

Required Skills :

Windows server administration experience :  3 years

Experience and working knowledge of Active Directory : 3 years

In depth experience using VMware : 2 years

Experience in IBM TSM client support : 2 years

Working knowledge of SCCM administration  : 2 years

Highly Desired Skills :

Be able to communicate clearly and interact effectively with individuals at all levels of responsibility  

Have the ability to schedule, coordinate and plan effectively

Experience with Sophos anti—virus, WinMagic administration

Desired Skills :

Application virtualization experience a plus
